Some people wake up on Thanksgiving Day thankful to spend time with family. Some are thankful for the food and football. I wake up thankful for The Trot.

Seconded.
Gobble, gobble.
Yes! You?
Seriously, I've been training well and consistently this year, along with diet. I figured, as a hobby jogger, why not make the Turkey Trot the focus of my fall "season"? All the local competitive guys show up, and we'll get our doors blown off by the college runners who are home for the holiday.
I've run the same Turkey Trot for some 3 decades now, and reunite with old friends at the finish line before heading home to family, football, turkey, and pie. A great day.
Bumping because...one week til the turkey trot!
So...is ANYONE running the turkey trot this year?
I wanted to, but but dealing with round ligament pain from pregnancy. nikeman plan to trot and is feeling confident after his workout yesterday. I might walk it, but I'm making Thanksgiving dinner that day, so may just end up barefoot, pregnant, in the kitchen.
yes, I'm coming from out of town to throw a Thanksgiving smack-down to the local hobby jogger scene. Gobble Gobble MFs
I am running the Run for the Diamonds in Berwick, PA. Never done it before, not from the area, have no clue what to expect other than a big uphill and a longg downhill.
9 miles!
Enjoy your 5ks.
unironically trying to break 20 minutes. if i don't make ends meet at least I will have the holly jolly jingle jog next month!
I'll be running a 10k, thank you very much.
Our local trot is an 8k. It's slated to be a cold one.
I will be hoping to have nursed my hamstring injury enough to make it out to the 5K trot this year. May perform more a walk than run and perhaps take a little Wild Turkey with me to drown the sorrow at a lost marathon attempt and warm the stomach on a cold winter morning.
Minor knee injury, no trot for me
Had my breakout trot last year running blackout drunk, was looking to improve upon that beforehand : (
