Couldn't care less. Carson is a racist prick.

And utterly and totally unprepared for the office. His "policy positions" are limited to answers to the media's policy questions. Beyond that, he has no proactive agenda. Plus, he seems to be medicated.

This is totally unfair to Ben. I remember the time in about 1974 when he was on 2:06 pace and out of sight of Shorter when he stopped to set the leg of a squirrel and he cramped up and couldn't finish, but he did save the squirrel. At least thats how he tells it. Must be true.
no way. the politico article clearly states that he was on 2:05 pace. you can trust it cause it's politico, and news outlets with agenda's have never been dishonest in their reporting before.

So . . . not really a "journalist" then.
Ben Carson is trying to build a brand and sell books. You must know that. This is entertainment. Politico. Is mostly entertainment like cable news.
It's too bad that all I see today is people arguing that turning down a scholarship offer to West Point does not mean to say you were admitted to Wedt Point. That is really odd if you know anything about admission to West Point. I had a friend who went there and everyone in the junior and senior class heard about how it was such a rigorous process to get in. Before today, if someone wrote that they got an offer to go there, I would assume it meant they applied. Apparently not.does he even understand the process for going there?
And stop whining about press stories - The only reason anyone is writing stories about him is because he is inexplicably polling in first place despite not knowing much outside of surgery and selling books. Boo hop about liberal media. Do you ever stop playing victim?
He had a ggood career and he wants to sell books. Good for him. He will not be President or and he does not really want to be President.
Let's move on to the issues that he knows nothing about.
You have literally been programmed to regurgitate that tripe. I was reading that nonsense a few days ago.
gee ROJO you're so correct. There is certainly a double standard here. Gosh do you think that if another black politician who happened to be a democrat,, (say for example, the president of the United States), made a statement similar to the one Carson said, that conservatives would defend him equally? Of course they would, because they only care about truth.
And by the way, someone who thinks that
1- That the earth is 8000 years old
2- That the Jews could have prevented the holocaust if they had more guns
3-That People become gay by choice
4- That health care for poor people is second only to slavery and the holocaust as an ultimate evil
5- The climate change is a hoax
is not a hero
He is crackpot
.
He is undoubtedly a gifted surgeon. Those skills do not mean that he is qualified to do things other than surgery.
He also wrote that Michigan offered him a scholarship but that Yale was the only university he applied to. Outside of an athletic scholarship, I'm not familiar with universities offering scholarships to prospective students who haven't applied.
How has nobody mentioned that THERE IS NO WEST POINT SCHOLARSHIP!?? If you get in, it's free! That's how it works for everyone!
Rojo, do you fail to see the irony that you are asking for "fair" coverage in the media for Carson and then you quote Rush?
The most popular of all "mainstream" media are all conservative leaning outlets

Don't misunderstand me, I don't have a problem with journalists looking into Ben Carson. The WSJ has a great article looking at his claims:

Just the way the liberal media lies and exaggerates is amazing.

What's your issue with the original politico article? That they used the word "fabricated?" Probably a strong word. Carson insinuated he had an offer from West Point (nevermind that there are no scholarships to West Point) when in fact he was told he'd be a shoo-in if he were to apply. It's embellishment.
Strangely, he also stated that he received a scholarship offer from Michigan, even though he states he only applied to Yale. Was he recruited to play for the Wolverines? Because that's the only scenario I can think of where a prospective student is offered a scholarship without applying and being accepted.
There's also this friend or relative that Carson stabbed or tried to stab as a violent youth for which there is no corroboration at all.
I don't think these embellishments need to be a big deal. They're really among the least worrying things about him as a presidential candidate.
I didn't realize Carson went to Yale till now and he was in Davenport (my college) but that story is so unbelievable I don't know how anyone could believe it.
I could believe a psychology prof saying something like that as part of an experiment but no way everyone but one walks out, highly unlikely it is a final exam (classes usually dont meet after finals) and it is easy to verify. Find one of the 150 students to verify it.
Ben Carson's life sorry is impressive without the lies. I'd love to see what he or the ghost writer of his book said about this one.
Interesting in that Carson's mistruths came well before he ran for office. There is a pretty strong record of people trying to embellish their stories. Just offhand ignoring any lies on policy i can thibk of Paul Ryan lieing about his marathon PR, Joe Biden has implied his wife was killed by a drink driver (not the case), Hilary said she was under sniper fire. In today's age it is very easy to verify these things.
As for the politico that article headline was poor journalism. They have now changed the headline and the opening paragraph but not acknowledged the changes. Shoddy if you ask me especially when there is a lot more to pick apart with him.
Here's a Columbia journalism review article on politico piece http://www.cjr.org/criticism/ben_carson_exposed_not_really.php

LetsRun: A Website of the Trolls, for the Trolls, by the Trolls.
The original Politico article overstated it's case and was misleading. That said, a pattern of exaggerations or outright lies is emerging regarding Carson's bio. He is trying to respond to the more legitimate stories as if they're all of a piece with the sloppy Politico headline. The liberal media! It's not going to work. The WSJ's Yale "honesty test" story and his lies about Mannatech are going to stick. More Ambien for the good Dr.

For the love of God, again with the "liberal media lies". Your political leanings aside, what is driving this train is; titillation, hypocrisy, blood in the water, etc., etc. The media, left, right, up, and down, are just playing to their respective audiences in the hopes of keeping their jobs.
I have such a hard time understanding the conservative mind - their penchant for latching on to victimhood is quite absurd. Rojo, do you believe that the conservative media has been victimizing Obama and now Hillary? If not, why not?
