An update on Mike Rossi, the man LetsRun.com will pay $100,000 if he runs a 3:11:45 marathon or better by 7/17/2016.
Rossi from everything we can determine did not start today's TCS NYC Marathon which he was entered in.
Our $100,000 is definitely safe for today.

Mike Rossi tweeted "#go time" right before the start of the NYC Marathon. Then someone on the Letsrun thread acknowledged that twitter uses location and his location of the "#go time" tweet was Pennsylvania. Rossi then deleted the post. I feel sorry for his famly

I thought there was a problem. I typed his last name in the athlete tracking box and there were about 15 runners with that last name but there was no Mike listed.
That would seem to indicate that he was never registered.

No, it indicates he never picked up his bib. His name was showing previously.

Is it possible to know if his race packet was picked up? I wonder if he had a "ringer" who was going to run in his place, but he had to call it off once it was learned he wasn't in NYC? I'm sure a make-up artist could easily pull this off. 100K is a lot of dough.
And on the completely opposite end of the Rossi Spectrum, see what Kyle and Brent Pease are doing in NY. Kyle has CP and being pushed by brother Brent. The left wheel came apart around mi 13 and Brent is running with a rope around his neck.shoulder and wrapped around the axle to keep the chair level. Freakin' insane! No, everyone is scared of Rossi because he continually posts pictures of gangster movies on his Twitter feed to intimidate people.
