Awesome field. Can't decide between kipsang and kamworor for my pick!
I can't in earnest pick anyone that DNFd recently so Kipsang is out.
I'm going with Tsegay.

Kipsang ran a 10 miler a few weeks after Worlds.
His agent was one of the two agents suspended by Athletics Kenya. One of the theories given to me at Worlds was Kipsang ran worlds so they'd lift the suspension of his agent. Now when the guy told me that, I didn't understand how being a DNF would help him get favor with Athletics Kenya.
But maybe his heart wasn't into it. Or maybe it was hot. Or maybe he's getting old. We'll find out soon enough.
Beware Kamworor tripping other runners!
I'm gonna have to vote for Desisa. Something about that guy screams champion. He was a boss in Boston and his tactics were flawless. He has a legit chance here to tie up the score with Kipchoge and wrestle some of that money from him. These guys are out to get paid and he looks hungry.

Did you watch 2014?
Really? A 2:22 marathoner made your race preview analysis? Talk about lack of depth...
What is Ryan Hall doing this weekend?? He's not racing the marathon, right? Is he running Saturday?

Excited to get mine! NYC bound
Mike Rossi is running. Bib # 24718. $100,000 says he wins the whole thing.
Kipsang is strong tall runner made for New York course. If he's hungry FTW, unstoppable.
Biwott contends. He has the fastest half this year.
But I change my mind on Tsegay. PBs all from 2012?
Kamworor FTW. Changing of the guard.
I pick Stanley Biwott. Solid recent half-marathon.
A tailwind for 20 miles tomorrow and the course record is 2:05:06?
Wilson Kipsang and Mary Jepkosgei Keitany.
I have to go with Kipsang as well. If he wants to be a lock for Rio 2016 he needs a win in NYC. With the DNF at worlds and a poor showing in NYC, he would need a win in the spring either in Boston, where he has never run, or London, where he has run well but is stacked with great runners. I think he tries to seal the deal with a win tomorrow. 2:06:17.

Well, at least I was right about Kipsang DNF'ing at WCs affecting future performances. No one wants to DNF. It destroys your confidence.
Yeah, it's a hard course. Yet 2:10s for these top top top runners, and someone says 21 potential sub 2:10s at the Olympic trials? Not going to happen.

wow!
old is gold.
well done.
I see Kamworor throwing some insane surges, but Biwett outlasting for a 2:10 type win.
