At one point, they were ranked 1-2, with 13 out of 14 in their top sevens from in state. That shows the incredible depth from Michigan high school girls in recent years.

University of Minnesota gets absolutely nobody from out of state. I think they would really excel in an instate only meet. Their formula is pretty much just take 2 or 3 from top 5 at state cross country championships and maybe the 800 meter state champion.

CU, before "Running with the Buffaloes" opened the floodgates to the masses of every 9:30 kid wanting to run for Wetmore, as well as being able to get legit Foot Locker dudes, was predominantly an in-state operation.
