Portland is the weirdest little pee hole town in America, 2nd only to Austin.

I'm an Oregon native that lives in the greater Portland area and I would vote NO to fork over public money for an NFL stadium. If something like that needs to be built it should be paid for privately. Plus having an NFL team here wouldn't be a good fit anyway. Here's the truth about Portland, OR for you n00bs that have never been here but run your mouth about it:
Good things:
- Mild climate year round (perfect for endurance sports)
- Easy access to a diversity of beautiful environments: Coastal, desert, valley, high altitude mountains (yes we're known for how green it is here but over half our state (central & eastern) is actually desert)
-Still affordable to live here if you don't mind living outside city limits or on the east side of town.
- People are nice generally.
- Great wine and beer making region if you enjoy alcoholic beverages.
Bad things:
- Too many hipsters and leftists
- Political landscape is unbalanced and leans too heavily on liberal ideology
- Traffic and crowding is getting worse as more and more transplants move here.
- Competition for good paying jobs is extremely high here so you better be a superstar candidate to land something decent.
- Public schools are getting worse every year.
Sacramento and Orlando are larger media markets than Portland and don't have NFL teams:
