It does. Maybe not 60 hours, I mean thats 2 and a half days, but in general before a big meet I refrain from eating a lot ( for this I mean just avoiding stuffing yourself) and that helps to cut a little weight which is good before a big race. You want to balance cutting just a little weight, but you still need to keep energy up.
