Nike has recreated the famous "Shout" scene in Animal House as a frat party featuring prominent Oregon alums. Galen Rupp and Ashton Eaton are both in it. I also saw Dan Fouts and Marcus Mariota (probably a bunch more I couldn't immediately identify).
What do people think?

The video I saw showed all the other "big names" that are in the video. The track stars it features are indeed Rupp and Eaton but it also has English Gardner in it. Pretty cool video..but damn Rupp is skinny and Eaton is a horrible dancer..ha!

That is the real Otis Day in the vid. No one else should be allowed to sing the song that made him famous--he almost rejected performing in Animal House.

That was AWESOME. People on here give Rupp so much crap, and I'm sure they will for this too, but I love it when athletes do random stuff like this. Rupp in a promo video for UO football? I love it.

While animal house was inspired by Dartmouth and written by a Dartmouth alumnus...it was indeed shot at u of Oregon.

I've actually looked into what one must do to be considered an alum at a university near where I live that is very strong academically. They have a kick ass gym/pool for which alumni can buy memberships, but it is not open to the general public. According to the school, they classify anyone who has completed one class as an alum. Graduation is not required.
I almost pulled the trigger and took a class, but in the end, I decided the cost was too expensive. I never have worked out there, even though I drive by it all the time. -
Do all of you people who attack Rupp's intelligence, appearance, etc. ever realize how pathetic that is? You spend time anonymously hating on some dude's appearance and academics. Do you really have nothing better to do than spew your hate all over the internet?
Next time post a photo of yourself and your undergraduate transcripts, tough guys. -
3.98 GPA. Out of 4.00 Max, not some idiotic university that allows GPAs over 4 for Atta-boys, Atta-girls, and Atta-transgenders.
Rupp is the one who failed to graduate. The fault is entirely his. He has nothing to fall back on when his running "career" is over. Maybe the plan is to Rupp to become Coach Rupp, aka AlSal v2. -
