Has anyone ever rocked a stache better than John Stossel?!
I'll take my midwestern rust-belt suburb where cost of living is cheap and the commute is 6 miles.
Why people commute any longer than this just completely blows my mind.
What exactly does someone do for work in SLC? Sell SEO services, push security systems door to door, or launch the latest juice craze pyramid scheme? If your single and in your 20s who do you date? Divorcees and single moms?
"Stossel is a butt weasel"
look it up!

I cannot imagine why anyone says anything positive about this place?
For one, great coffee. But someone from SLC is unlikely to understand this.
This is not a new phenomena in San Francisco. Ever hear of the sixties or the Barbary Coast? Now in addition to dirty hippies, they are getting an influx of immigrants (again, nothing new here) since they are a sanctuary city. But hey, if that is what the voting public wants, then let them determine their own fate. You don't have to live or visit there. I'm out there for work a couple times a year and have never had much of an issue. Of greater concern to me is the proliferation of motorcycles driving between lanes.

I think you mean East St Louis. Big difference.

1) regular jobs like any other city
2) you go to Park City to find non-mormons
*and then you rage on the miles upon miles of trails and dirt roads

Cool story bro. All those people paying $4k+ a month to live there must hate it or be totally brainwashed.
But SLC is better suited to poor people from third tier state Us anyway. Plus the airport security lines are shorter. Enjoy.
By the way, I'm suggesting you are poor and stupid, if that got over your head.
I expect what you said went over most heads. It hardly made any sense.
Agreed. That hurt my brain to even read.

Not really. St Louis is incredibly dangerous, ghetto and has one of the highest murder rates of any city in the country.
I’m from SLC originally and went to college in SF. I recently turned down a job offer in the Bay Area because what was cool to a college kid is just seedy to a 40+ year old. As far as I’m concerned, spending a weekend there now and then is nice, but you — literally— couldn’t pay me to live there now.
Love it! Most accurate thing I've read on lets run in months!!!
I like the irony of lazily labeling a whole sect of society as "undisciplined". It makes me laugh.
I guess that explains why people living in rural states like West Virginia and Kentucky are killing themselves with opioids, have higher rates of obesity and shorter life expectancy.
https://www.drugabuse.gov/drugs-abuse/opioids/opioid-summaries-by-stateIt is much better to be obese than homeless. Homelessness is ILLEGAL, and SF cops need to start enforcing this law if they want to make any progress.
Legality is far more important than morality.
Americans you dont need to argue who of you is worse. There is enough space in hell for all of you
Per capita income in SF is $50k and household income is $96k, while the unholy housing costs are a very large part of the homeless problem. Parking is an issue only in the downtown, but you can live elsewhere and take public transportation or ride your bike to SF. The culture means that your own personal space doesn't need to be much because there is so much to do that you cannot do anywhere else. The food is tremendous and you can get good food cheap if you take out and buy drinks separately.
Nice weather also plays a role. Better to be homeless in a non-freezing weather place like SF than in NYC or other cold cities.
