Hakeem or Shaq, what is this sh it? Wilt would have dominated both of them. Shaq was never as strong as Wilt and his defense sucked. He had no endurance either. Hakeem was better than Shaq, but he's no Wilt either.
Any all time list w/o Wilt shows ignorance and no knowledge of NBA history. End of argument, dumb asses.

Yes, I'm kidding.
My response was to the poster above me (originally) who came up with a ridiculous all-white starting 5. I came up with a list of white players that played (mostly, if not all in the 90s) that would make people both scratch their heads and laugh in ridiculousness. Trust me, I realize not a single person on that list would make a top 5 starting list at their respective position.
Whew..... I was worried about you man. Good to hear you were just kidding, now on all time college players you might put Laettner but not pro.

Ok. You have an attack first back-court (including SF) that can't shoot 3's. You're entire lineup can't shoot 3's. And Rodman was a minus offensive player. You're whole offense would be ISO's through Jordan, Lebron, or Wilt. They'd crush the glass and be incredible on defense though.
I'm not a Golden State homer, but they showed how team strategy is greater than individual components. Jordan and Lebron would struggle to play on the same court. They'd probably figure it out, but it's not 1+1.
I'm going to be unconventional and say any team with Chris Paul, Lebron, and Duncan would be unstoppable. All lock-defenders at their position, brilliant game minds, and can takeover/defer to others at will. Chris Paul is annoying, but somehow underrated. He controls every part of the game and is an underrated shooter. Duncan and Lebron don't need to be discussed. I'd put the Brow at center, will be an effective shooter next year and obvious what he can do elsewhere. Lineup lacks shooting so I'd put any elite 3 and D guy at SG, maybe Jesus Shuttlesworth because no one else comes to mind.

What? Lebron and Jordan can definitely shoot 3s.
When did Golden State show that team strategy is greater than individual components? They would not have won without Curry. Additionally, they only beat the Cavs because the Cavs were playing without THREE of their star players. The fact that Golden State lost to such a handicapped team AT ALL in the series shows they aren't really THAT good.

And the fact that they were the best regular season team and historically great?
No one who knows basketball would consider Lebron or Jordan elite 3-point shooters.

What does that have to do with them showing that team strategy is greater than individual components? They have two of the best shooters in the whole league on their team. One of them was even MVP. Sure sounds like individual components to me.
I didn't say they were elite 3-point shooters. I said they can definitely shoot 3s. You said they can't shoot 3s. You were making them sound like Shaq.

.
I agree with you. GS had a great regular season, but didn't look that great against an injury-riddled CLE. And when they were great, it was, as you said, due to individuals like MVP Curry. (or Iguadala stepping up on his own)
The best "TEAM" in the true sense of the word this season was ATL. But they floundered in the playoffs partly due to a few injuries, partly due to peaking too soon, and partly due to NOT having that individual (like a James or Curry) who could truly step up and take over when needed.
Magic
Jordan
Bird
Duncan
Olajuwon
I wasn't saying individuals aren't important, just pointing out it's not simple math. Having all-stars who play great together is better than having all-timers that don't.
Gary Payton
Bruce Bowen

Hakeem Olajuwon
