Canada hasn't qualified for the Olympics in basketball since 2000 and was eliminated from qualifying from the 2012 Olympics back in 2011 after losing to Panama, leading to their coach resigning.
At the time I remember news stories about an NBA player on the Panama team talking about his teams challenges being locked out of their training facilities due to political problems in Panama. They were forced to practice at elementary schools with 9 foot hoops and the players had to tape each other's ankles because they didn't have a team trainer.
So before Canadians get too excited about beating the USA don't forget that they were eliminated from qualifying from the last Olympics after losing to a tiny country who practised on 9 foot hoops!
I would go way higher than that. That team consisted of 2nd round caliber prospects and D-league caliber players. 100th string team is more like it.

Good point. After doing the math on it this is probably our 50-60th string team (12 people a team, 30 NBA teams plus elite NCAA players, none of whom played today).
