What are the best watches for showing current min/mile pace? I have a poor sense of pace and tend to go out too fast when I run races and think that wearing a watch which shows my current min/mile pace may help me pace myself.

I currently use a Timex GPS Marathon watch. It shows "instantaneous" min/mile pace but I think it is an average over the last 15-30 seconds. The pace seems to change in 9 seconds/mile increments which seems weird.
I used to have a Garmin Forerunner 205. It showed my average pace so far for the run. I found that to be more useful for estimated my finishing time than the instantaneous pace which seems to jump around too much.

I have a Garmin Forerunner 10 (the entry level Garmin watch I believe), and it does "current" mile pace. It lags about 5-10 seconds behind, but it does work. I usually put total distance and mileage pace on one screen.
