Looking to buy cross country flats (no spikes) and was wondering what ya'll would recommend for the 8-10k. I was thinking the brooks Mach 17 or Nike lt streak but have no idea if these are good shoes since I never really cared for cross.

Bump
I've raced in the Mach 15 with spikes. I think the Mach series is one if the Better XC spikes, not sure how the flat would work but I'm guessing pretty well.
I use streaks for workouts on a variety of surfaces, including dirt and grass. I would feel comfortable racing in streaks.
New balance 5000
Brooks are the way to go. I find them to be very comfortable.
Sizes are now limited, but only 25 bucks and they work amazing.

I ran in the Mach 15 spikeless. I really like them. Good comfortable racing flat.
I don't care for Nike cause i think there shoes suck and are overpriced, but racing shoes appear to be the one exceptions. If i were you i'd just search for the best deal i can find.
