The US would've run had she been on the team, and had they won, she would have won more money as well.

You mean they didn't run because she wasn't there???

Fair question. She was first alternate. #2 and #3 women were expected to run around 32:45-33:15 - they both ran a min slower which cost the USA - The new RD has tried to make his mark on the P'Tree the past 2 years but IMO, it has been a failure. If it is not broke - roll with it - P'Tree the past decade was attracting the best 10K runners in the world - the last 2 years there have not been enough incentives for them to show up -

Umm, they would have still been 2nd. Pappas ran 33:28, so they would have picked up about 40 seconds with her, but they were over a minute behind Africa.

The late local news is showing the photo finish of the men's open. Casual runners understand first to cross the line. The Peachtree cup was a dud. If they scored it like XC maybe people would get it... Adding up times...people don't care that much.
Where does she find the time to train, what with her gigs as poet, model, writer, actress, filmmaker and hipster doofus?
