Although I understand that it would be the best idea to run in the morning, I am not fortunate enough to do so over the summer because the coach would like the team to meet for practices every possible day and he wants to meet in the afternoon. So with that in mind what should be done to the pace of workouts like 3-4 mile tempo runs. I seem to be able to stay on pace for intervals but when it comes to a tempo run in 93 degree weather with 50% humidity I falter. For instance if in good weather (70 degrees 60% humidity) I would run a 4 mile tempo at 5:50 what would be good to do on days in which it is not overcast and rainy.
