Fortunately, athletics (all the good meets anyway) take place in places where the US Supreme Court's opinions mean slightly less than f**k all.

It hasn't worked for horse racing.

That's what I've been talking about for five years. Put sleazy sal, rupp, radcliffe, mo and centro in prison.
Well, take your whine up with WADA. They are the ones who banned it.
Track is dead. I sincerely hope people on this planet had better life opportunities than running around in circles. (Like, running road races, not.But that's where your supposedly "missing" athletes are.)
Bad Wigins, you are stretching your preconceived images like Rossi.
Another nice quote for you Hermens haters, you know the one who said, " “Science has triumphed over nature. Formally Farah and Rupp are doing nothing illegal. I rather just questioning if Farah during a doping control hands a laundry list of products..."
Latest quote:
"I'm not out for blood but I am glad to see the programme was done. A lot of what the Nike Project does is in a grey area. The documentary is good and it is a wake-up call for many people, maybe even for Alberto himself about how fanatic are you going to be about your sport? It's only sport, you know, so why would you be so fanatic about doing all these things. I'm all for using science to improve performance but it should be transparent and out in the open."

Where were all the sub-27 and sub-13 Africans in the decades before EPO was available? Did they not have altitude and correct training back then?
Back home in East Africa herding cattle, brainiac. Before there was money to be made by running fast in stadiums in Europe, there was no way for a dirt-poor farmer to travel to Europe just to stroke his ego - he just had to keep scratching a living to feed his family.
You aren't exactly a genius, are you?

Apples and oranges. Marathons don't require the same rate of oxygen consumption, the game there is about running economy and conserving energy. With blood doping made difficult, it's only logical that athletes would move to an event where it matters less.
In any case, there is no shortage of new 5000-10000 track specialists coming out of east Africa. Just a shortage of Komens, Gebs, Tergats and Kipchoges. And a shortage of brain cells in anyone who has failed to notice.
Every single year from 1995 to 2000, and again from 2003 to 2007, the world lead 5000 was under 12:50. In the years since, it has happened on only one occasion. Though six men broke 12:50 that day in Paris, none of them has managed it again or even come close, and even the winner was 9 seconds off the WR. This despite the disappearance of the 10,000 leaving the 5000 as the last diamond league distance event, and a crew of elites that push each other regularly instead of ducking each other.
These guys aren't marathon/HM types and most wouldn't make it on the roads. The 5000 is all they've got. Yet they're just a fleeting shadow of what once existed in that event. Somehow "talent" has skipped a generation.
We need to insitute post of the day voting. I laughed for 30 seconds after reading this. I'm still laughing.

That's right. Yifter, Ngugi, Wakihuri, Nyambui, Ngeno, Limo, Waigwa, Boit, Bulti, Charles Cheruiyot, Kip Cheruiyot, Joel Cheruiyot, Henry Rono, George Rono, Peter Rono, Peter Koech, Paul Kipkoech, Bikila, Bile, Jama Aden, Bayi, Ben Jipcho, Ereng, Joseph Chesire, Nixon Kiprotich, John Kipkurgat, Peter Lemashon, Gabriel Kamau, Patrick Sang, etc. etc., they all just stayed home and never traveled to compete. Idiot.
Now that we've established they were at the party before the 90's, let's hear your sophomoric bullshit explanation why they weren't running the show yet.

When exactly do you think athletics became a professional sport dingeberry?
i've got a challenge for all of you witch hunters here.
if salazar, justin gatlin, and rupp are all under the same umbrella and doping together with secret technology, then how come they are competing at 2 different events and have different body sizes?
http://www.independent.co.uk/incoming/article9580461.ece/alternates/w460/pg-60-gatlin-getty.jpg
look how much bigger justin gatlin is. he needs the fast twitch muscle fibers for the 100m. then how can androgel microdosing give him that kind of body?
http://www.usatf.org/usatf/files/de/decb7d7d-9a75-49e3-a090-744d52793164.JPG
look how skinny rupp is. if they're both on the same regimen of microdosing to defeat the blood testing, then how come they look so different?
you're on a witch hunt because you're just jealous of the success, money contracts, and fame that rupp gets as an american track hero.
Does anyone remember Shorter claiming Salazar was a drug cheat, way back in the 80's?
Good wiggler, you're not very bright, are you? They have very different body types because the start with very different body types. Their training is also very different. There is nothing similar about them except that they are boosting testosterone.
And the idiots keep coming, I just haven't got the heart to answer the poor sad fella's questions, someone help me and him out, please!
I am sorry. Some people are beyond help.
Did anyone else notice Johnny Dutch who won the 400m hurdles in Rome last night had tape over the Nike labels on his outfit. Is he getting at something here? just curious...
this program didn't really break any new ground
they made a few headlines with the alan wells and sleazy sal revelations-most of which was reasonably well known
the non-elite EPO test had already been done by WADA and showed the same performance gains(7%)
hopefully now the producers will set their sights on hermens and rosa and unravel the 20 year african EPO mystery on the track and the roads
I'd say even Cerutty was better.
