Give me Lebron ALL day over MJ. If I was building a team and could spend all my money on one player only Lebron would be the only option.
One thing no one really looks at with the annoying 6-0 argument is finals competition. Lebrons finals competition vs Jordans is really no comparison. Comparing the top 6 teams against eachother
I'm not going to argue who's better but I wish Lebron would shut up and stop being so narcissistic. Can he compliment Curry without bringing himself up. "The Chosen 1s"
No matter who was M.J.'s teammate, M.J. tried to will his teammates to win. M.J. never went to owner/team v.p. of operations/g.m./coach demanding that team get ride of teammates and bring in his buddies as free agents during Bulls era. Now team management saw that Jordan was not getting along with some players so team management did get rid of some players but M.J. during Chicago Bulls days was not acting like team g.m. Things changed when M.J. was older and playing in D.C. for Washington Wizards. Jordan did act like a g.m. It is well known that Jordan got rid of Kwame Brown. If we are talking peak championship Jordan. Peak Jordan was superior to peak L. James.
7 year old thread. MJ was certainly a better player than LeBron. The over 45 crowd will go with MJ. Under 45 with LeBron. It depends upon who you grew up watching.
Nahh. If we saw MJ take a weak roster all the way to the championships then I could start to see it but he didn't. Still a great player though. I could never see MJ beating the teams LeBron has lost. Not even the Mavs who swept Kobe Bryant. Those sours and essential teams lebron faced were ridiculous
No one who actually watched both and understand basketball would say MJ was better unless they just hate Lebron (and he has plenty of haters). Really not worth arguing at this point.
Not sure if I totally agree but I understand your point. I grew up watching West and the Big O and I wouldn't consider them in the top 5 of guards. At first it was hard to believe Jordan would be better than Larry or Magic. In 1985 a colleague who played against MJ told me he was already the greatest ever, of course I didn't believe him but he knew, all the players knew.
You can't go wrong with either Lebron or Jordan, two different types of players from two different eras. I think Jordan would do great in today's era and Lebron would have done well 30 years ago. The truly greats will find a way to dominate.

People 35+ grew up watching Jordan.
Lebron makes teams go all in for a couple of years and cash out all their assets, then the team is wrecked and he bails and does it again. And still he only has 4 rings (one of which was in the bubble and not impressive). He’s never built and sustained a true dynasty the way the Bulls, Warriors, (old) Celtics, and Lakers have. And now he’s trying to worm his way on to GS because he knows the team he constructed in LA is done.
