Hi. I am a teenage male who believes he has the potential to run a 15:00 mile. I am currently 16 and just got my 1 mile time down to 6:00(I have only been training 3 weeks). I live in Louisiana, and at our high school Cross Country meets, the winner is usually at 15:00 for a 3 mile run. I would like to know what sort of mileage is ideal for this. I am willing to put in hours and hours of work per day, interval training, running with packs on or with parachutes. I can do 400 meters in 1:10-1:15, and that is without any interval training. I'd love any references I can be offered. I also have about 10-15 pounds of fat to lose. Currently at about 12-15% body fat.
