My younger brother has district championships today in the 800m.
When he's coming down the homestretch, is it well advised to shorten your stride a little if you're tying up? Or continue with the same stride length?
I also tell him to put his chin down if he starts to lean back and get that "rigor mortis" feeling.
Is there anything else I can tell him? it seems like falling apart is inevitable.
NOTE: I searched the message boards for this answer but didn't find much for the 800 specifically.
