OSU aka "the ONLY world-class academic PAC-12 school in the state of Oregon".
OSU aka "the ONLY world-class academic PAC-12 school in the state of Oregon".
is that THE osu or just osu?
OSU has an incredible amount of backing.
Vin is kind of busy with stuff

I didn't understand what you meant by world class given how selective OSewe is. After all slightly less than 80% of all applicants to OSewe get admitted.
http://www.collegesimply.com/colleges/oregon/oregon-state-university/admission/Then I realized that if you have taken a class any where in the world, you will get admitted to OSewe

Oregon State is the place to go in Oregon if you're a science major. Excellent research happening there. Oregon is the place to go for liberal arts.
OSU is tied with WSU for the DFL academic institution in the Pac-12. I guess it's where you go if you're not smart enough to get into LSU or Arkansas.
Source? This would be awesome news if it were true.

Lane Community College is known in the 'Harvard of Lane County" to folks in the state of Oregon.
This is the kind of post that makes me wish there was no anonymity on message boards. Not only would a blatant liar be called out, but folks would be lined up to start lawsuits over this kind of stuff.
Vinny loves the college scene. He isn't happy doing marketing. He'd rather be coaching coaches and team builders.
OSU = Ohio State University
ASU = Arizona State University
USC = University of Southern California
UNC = University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill)
UVA = University of Virginia
GT = Georgetown
NOVA = Villanova
BC = Boston College
UO = University of Oregon
UofP = University of Pennslyvania
...so forth and so on

Lawsuit? LOL. You live in fantasyland.
Is Lananna not allowed to consider taking a higher paying, more prestigious, job?
It's well known he has always wanted to be an athletic director and work in admin. It's not far fetched. Otherwise he never would have left Stanford in its height of glory.
Rumors here are oddly right often. I wouldn't be surprised.
I would find that an odd hire. Football is king at D1 schools. AD's main job is fundraising and hiring the football and basketball coaches.

You can make YOUR versions of those acronyms all you want, but not everyone perceives them the same way you do, I don't think you particular have the "right way", I don't think there is one
Sometimes you just have to state the schools whole name, not that hard to do, and I really wish the OP would've did that
This couldn't ever well been Oklahoma State University, or Ohio State University, but it's Oregon State, the latter of the 3 that first came to mind
Well, after the OP stated "Oregon" institutions, the OSU reference was pretty clear.....but then again math was never my strong suit....
THE Ohio State University = OSU
Oregon State University = osu
Oklahoma State = who cares?
VL was AD at Oberlin so you know he's looking for an AD job at a D1 school. WIth the incredible success of the PAC-12 TV Network headquartered in Frisco, CA, OSU would be a primo choice for VL.
University of Pennsylvania=UPenn/Penn, not UofP. All others on the list are accurate.
For OSU, I would accept Ohio State or Oklahoma State, never Oregon State.
It really isn't a regional difference, but rather a market difference or prestige difference.
Is UA Arizona, Alabama, or other?
Also, there are no reputable sources for this possibility.
