Last week I was cruising through 32 second 200m intervals with no problem. I felt smooth when I ran, and I had a light and springy step. Tempos and long runs went well as usual.
Now this week, my legs are simply just....dead. I was sick with a virus for three days, then it stopped. After that, I went out for a workout and I simply didn't have the smoothness in my legs. 40 second 200m felt like 30 second 200m! Even light jogging had my legs exhausted. I simply didn't have that bounce and springy step from before. It's as if all the strength and speed in my legs just vanished.
I don't know if its happened because of the virus because this has happened last year and in that time period I was never sick. Is it glycogen depletion? Letsrunners what is going on with my legs?
Please help me out here.
