The funny thing is that Felice had this info all the way back to September 2014. He told me way back then. He sat on it all this time until this asshat wrote the letter to the principal.

There is such a thing as a breakthrough run, but usually by a veteran runner who has trained for years and finds they will not die from the distress of running harder than they ever thought possible. I don't think this would ever be possible for Mike, for he is always in his selfie thoughts.

Wait - he knew? And did nothing? I thought this was all about exposing cheaters. I thought it was about protecting the integrity of the sport. How out there there is 'this one guy' who didn't get in, and how unfair that was.
And he sat on it so he could expose him publicly? The person has to be both a cheat AND a douchebag to be exposed?
He could have done the right thing, given the RD the information, that ONE GUY could have run? I'm not sure what's worse: that Rossi cheated, or that someone knew, sat on the information, and denied someone who had rightfully qualified the opportunity - and maybe his only opportunity - to run Boston. That just pisses me off.
And Rossi's made his Athlinks profile private. Fortunately, we have screenshots:

Um, yeah, you can see it's me who did the screenshots, I don't care, my race times line up.

Seriously?
"Hey, I'm some guy that knows this other guy is a cheat. Please do something about it."
"Hey thanks for that... We'll get back to you.."
"When can I expect a response?"
"Oh, I don't know. I'll have to get back to you. Thank you bye."
Timing is a real thing in human interactions. Timing was good in this case.
yeah, and that Felice guy wasn't exactly behaving like a sane person on the RW forum. Not to say anything back then is pretty odd.
Wait. He told everyone he knew. There were no secrets. No one had resources to research any of this. When the story broke there was interest enough to recirculate it. It took us a couple days to go over the photos. No one is going to listen to a runner who is skeptical over a neighbors athlinks times that don't match his marathon time.

Now we can't trust the origin of the story despite a mountain of incriminating facts.
What's next? Maybe it's a scheme by the Rosa Rossi haters who hate freedom and people who ignore basic rules.
We need some more stupid stuff to try to deflate the story despite the facts. Man, do I love America's cheaters. Let's take some more shortcuts.

I can't believe ya'll are giving him a free pass on wearing the 2014 jacket, who does that other than pompous pretender? What does he tell people when they ask if he ran, no but I liked the color (liar). Just another hint into his character.
I totally missed that! hahaha I cant believe he's wearing 2014... That type of a picture is worthy of a running ethics thread being started, but we're sooo deep now that nothing will surprise me.
Please cut the bull.. there's no need to apply stats to this because his 3:11 is not possible... it doesn't fall in the realm of possibilities. Does this compute? It's just not possible for HIM to have run that time given his ability and fitness.

B.S.
Did he notify the RD or not?
What is Felice's relationship to Mike Ross?
Are you two also afraid to answer simple questions?

Speaking of Chicago, didn't Rossi register for it as a guaranteed time qualifier (male under 3:15)? So I think Chicago needs to cancel his entry if he is disqualified from Lehigh.

A DQ is a near certainty. Public shaming is at it's peak, but will continue for a bit. For all intents and purposes, justice has and will be done. I'm satisfied.
The single most incriminating evidence that the RD can point to is that of every single finisher in his race that Rossi was the *ONLY ONE* to have no photos at locations other than the finish line. You can be guaranteed that this point will be made.
And, we have JustANumbersGuy and his script that counted the pictures (excluding the finisher rolls) of all finishers to thank for this. Once he produced a small list, the LR gang then went and found other pics for this small list. For everyone except Rosie Rossi, that is.
JustANumbersGuy for MVP!
Attack all you want. He already posted that he saw the athlinks results back in September in the beginning of this thread. Nothing new. The fact that he had previous suspicion does not make him guilty of anything. He revisited it when the story broke. Plain and simple.

Well his career ending injury will likely preclude that event. Still, a 2:59 should be possible on a course where a with a little imagination a few minutes can be trimmed here and there. Maybe a podium finish if the math gets munged. That would be groovy.

Athlinks and the data was on line in September. The photos were online in september. The quote was "he knew". How did he "know" without the data? And how did "timing" factor into anything but making a bigger splash? This was about being fed up at this guy - who is a without a doubt a narcissicist. But if its about bringing them down, fine. Don't crow about the protecting the integrity of the sport and being the champion of 'that one guy'. I say, go out and find that "one guy'. Petition he gets to run next year. That would be something of value.
