Hey I had a really hard workout today and conference championships are this week, is it a good idea to take an ice bath?
I'm not a real runner, but I wouldn't do anything different the week of a big race. Maybe use an ice bag in the worst spots or take a small amount of NSAID?
Ice baths are great for soreness. If you're feeling sore/stiff, go for it! Sit in icy water, making sure your sore areas are submersed, for 20 minutes. If you're not sore, though, there isn't really a point.
