This is the sort of attitude that will suck money right out of you. I recommend a Dave Ramsey course.

an expensive audi. great cars, neutral and not flashy.
What are we talking about?
Need numbers!
Pure luxury? Baller status? (You tryin to be a G?) or a Drivers car?
I'm going to stick to "driver cars"
40-50k
Golf R, M235i.. Or 3 series
Audi A3/A4/A5
60-85k
Porsche Cayman S, GTS...
Caddilac's new ATS-V
BMW M3/M4
Audi S4,S5, A7
90-110k
Mmmm here's where it gets good
BMW M5
Porsche 911 Carrera, possibly an "S" with few options
Porsche Panamara
Audi S7
Nissan GTR(lame fanboy car.. No wonder Centrowitz has one)
Jaguar F-Type
150-200k
Audi R8 (one of the best looking cars ever made)
911 Turbo (do it!)
Mercedes GT AMG
911 GT3 (my choice here)
200-300k
Ferrari 458 or new 488 GTB
Lamborghini Huracan (best handling lambo ever built thanks to Audi)
McClaren 650S
A 85-95 Suzuki samurai
You should probably spend the money on a penis augmentation.
All, the serious contributions are much appreciated. I also lol'd at some of the posts!!
I dunno, what does Sponge Bob drive?
Have you ever noticed how really rich people drive non-descript cars? Probably the ones who worked the hardest for each cent and don't want to waste it on dumb stuff.
My cardiologist drives a beat up Volvo. From my perspective, there is nothing cooler than someone of means who doesn't feel the need to flaunt it superficially. I see his wealth in the amount of money he donates to good causes in town.
If you desperately desire superficial acknowledgment, then you haven't legitimately arrived anywhere.

OP didn't ask how to be classy.
It doesn't matter as long as you put your 26.2 sticker on it.

Mercedes-Maybach S600 , (out this month) or a Bugatti Veyron.
Also, you need a ho like Ice-T's Coco in the passenger seat and make her head bob.
CTS V.
You need better friends. A couple hundred k in the bank is a rounding error to a semi rich person. When your a multimillionaire you gain and lose 100k in a month just based on stock market movements..
As far as saying you have arrived, nothing under 75k is going to do that. There are 5 series, e classes, and 911s every 3rd car on 101. I am guessing somewhere around 150k is when people actually notice your car unless it is some brand new model (Telsa a couple years ago. At this point they are much too common to turn anyones head).
What kind of car says you have arrived professionally?
Chauffeured by someone employed as part of your personal staff.
Arguably, the most expensive and luxurious chauffeur driven car to ever be created is the Maybach 62.
Founded in by father and son, Wilhelm and Karl Maybach built their first prototype in 1919. During the next 2 decades Maybach produced the most opulent and desired vehicles of the time and in 1997 the prototype Maybach was presented at the Motorshow and caught the attention of the world.
Our silver Maybach 62 cost a staggering £315,000, which is more than the average price of a house. It's like a luxury first class lounge on wheels with a 5.5 litre, V12 engine and weighing in at almost 3 tonnes it can go from 0-60 in 5.5 seconds.
Both billionaires and celebrities such as Roman Abramovich , Theo Paphitis, Peter Jones, Simon Cowell and P Diddy own a Maybach.
As standard they come with fully reclining and massaging chairs, silver service champagne set with cooled cup holders and a full entertainment system with wireless headphones. So if you have a long business journey or simply wish to travel in refined luxury, the Maybach 62 is as good as it gets.
or a Rolls Phantom
Benz S600 Pullman
Bentley Continental Flying Spur
My coworker got an Audi S7 and I got a Mercedes CLS550. We often park near each other, and I get way more looks and compliments even though his car has slightly better specs.
I love my CLS. Best $85k I ever spent.
