I recently split a 50.61(400) at Penn relays, i received the baton a little after the start of the exchange zone, i was wondering what the accuracy of the splits are from pennrelay's site. Are they F.A.T splits? Is it worth it to mention to college coaches, since im a junior trying to go d2?
Im just wondering, since its a PR and it was posted online on the site.
I think Penn is still using the manual method of getting splits, but they are pretty accurate considering the methodology and are about the only splits most colleges will rely on for recruiting. Only being halfway into your junior year, if you are looking D2 with no money, just about any program in the country would welcome you. With that said, it is hard to get a coach's attention with a 50.61 relay split at this time of the year. It is a combination of them being busy prepping for conf/reg meets and interested in seeing what you can run later in the season. I assure you that if you reach out to D2 coaches in about a month with 49x out the blocks, you will get their attention.
