PeppyOne, if you have that list, I'd love to take a look at it. My gut says there are more than 20 schools just from the number I can think of off the top of my head.

That was true a week ago. But as of last Saturday night, Arcadia and Loyola are now added to that list to make it 8 schools. Arcadia's Rocha ran 8:59 and Loyola's Brandt ran 8:53.
Caleb Webb of Big Bear High School has improved on that high school record!
Webb just won the California State championship in the 3200m Saturday night, running 8:47.30 under pleasant nighttime conditions, yet still 82°F.

Crazy the days we're in when a kid runs 8:47 to be the best in Calif. and it hardly makes news. I remember when this would have lit up the internet.
