100 grand for a 2:07
1:22 for a half in Singapore.
Won $250, plus a truck-load of vouchers.
37.42 for 10km, and got $15 for it. Better than nothing, but a sad, sad reflection on turnout for the race.
I walked a 5k in 21:11 and won a grand once. One year I made about 4k in prze money walking anywere from 21::00 for 5 k to 43:20 for 10k. bUt hey racewalkig sucks so who cares.

Shit. I also won a 5k with an 18:09 a couple of years ago and got a Nerf football for first place.
i have a friend who won a 10k in 36:low and took home a cool grand. and no, the friend was not a woman. needless to say, they stopped giving prize money the next year.
$50 for a 17:01 5k, it was a course record too...by like a minute.
Also got a gift certificate and some socks for a 38' XC 10k, done after I had already raced the 5k
I won this $100 prize for winning a race, and a big ass trophy for running a 16:32, it was great.

30 minutes later,
35:40 10k...$100
flat course too.
Damn, he got me. I thought my 33:47 for $100 was bad... oh wait, it still is
1000 for a 34-something 10K, CHOICE run in Shreveport LA. The funniest thing I've seen was at a small race in TX, a little money four deep. A friend won 25 dollars for fourth, his wife came in dead LAST and took home 50 dollars for third place female.
Last month, my aunt won $150 for a third place 10k finish with a time of 49:xx.
$500 and two night stay at a resort for a 1:14 half marathon. It was actually quite good competition. We just went out very slow(6:30 first mile) since no one wanted to take the lead and I ended with a 4:45 to win it.
$100 for an 18 minute 5k
there was a road race(5K) near where I live (I didnt run) and when the race got to a set of train tracks a train was going by anf forced all the runners to stop and wait, it was very close to the finish line and once everybody caught up it was just a huge dash for the finish line. The winner ended up running 21 somethin, I dont know if there was prize money, just thought it was kinda funny.
Paced an ex-girlfriend of mine to a 19:45 5k a few years ago. Ended up finishing 3rd in my age group (25-29) for a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant. Winning time was high 17s for a prize of $150...wish I had known it was going to be that slow.
I put on a comp race every year, a giving something back kind of thing. One year we had generous sponsors and a poor turnout, and we had more gift certificates than runners. Had a drawing to see who got 2... :-)
Never saw such a happy, satisfied group leaving a race.
2:44 marathon- $150
2:41 marathon- $300
36 min 8K (ran a marathon 6 days earlier)- $250
1:29 half marathon (my easy run)- $500
should probably stop there.
i am a whore
I picked up $1,000 for a 16:00 3 mile. Same race the next year, I ran 16:20 5k and still got $700. 2:43 marathon - $750, Numerous 32:00 to 33:00 6 milers - $150.
I have no shame. I will usually try to run as hard as I can but if the race offers money, I'm going to try to sneak into the winnings.
