I know this is a heavily exhausted topic on the boards, mainly due to the ambiguity of mono. After taking a short break after last cross season, I never felt "normal." I trained just sub-normally for a few weeks, before I started feeling awful. I went to the doctor three times, the first two I received antibiotics for strep, then the last I was diagnosed with mono. I didn't miss any school, so the recovery has gone haltingly. Now, 4 months later, what is an appropriate plan to start training? I'm going to forgo this track season and focus on college XC (I'm a HS senior). I can run 20ish minutes where my legs feel normal, but my arms feel "tied up" and breathing is hard. Is this a fairly typical recovery? How do I progress from here?
