Ok so obviously many threads on here have been starting discussing workouts to get specific times in the 800m. Recently I ran 1:56.2 and I want to see what you guys think I've done for workouts building up to this race.
Background: I run about 45-50 miles/wk; 400 PR:51.2 1600 PR: 4:34 (but could go faster); I am a high school senior who comes from more of a distance background. Approximate Splits: 28.1, 28.8 (56.9), 29.3 (1:26.2), 29.9 (1:56.2).
This race wasn't exactly a peak, but I'm not in a base phase or even an "early season" phase. I'm still training through to more races later in the year.
So let's go the other direction here and I want to know what workouts do you think I've run in my buildup to this race.
