I am a sophmore coming off an injury during the winter and didn't perform very well in cross country ( on running a 19:30 5k). This was my first year ever doing road mileage averaging around 20 mpw. Freshman year track I ran 22.98 for 200m, 50.96 for 400m and 2:03.55 for 800… I ran the 1500 once in 8th grade in 4:47. I feel I have the speed to out kick most distance runners but I always drop pace substantially by the 2nd mile. Is a 16:00-16:30 5k possible for me with training during summer and spring?
