You're right, not over, but I have no idea who's threatening for the 6th spot, because they haven't bothered to show anybody but Derrick!
it's to simulate that "racing vision" you get when busting balls in an xc race. squinty eyes filled with sweat/salt, blurred vision, etc. very realistic.

Are they using soft focus to give the racing a mystical effect?

sure would be nice to see the chase pack. this is no good
I think that Britt guy is telling it like it is! I like him, he is usually on the diamond league, if I'm not mistaking!
Passing Let's Run I'm on TV Guy. ;-)

Derrick is a real beast - seems to have so much strength. Hope he and Levins get into some track races against each other. Wonder if Levins will still have the edge over him as he did in college in the 5000 and 10000 outdoors?
The Brit is Tim Hutchings. He must be doing this from his hotel room in Boston because I know for a fact he's calling the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix tonight in person.
Was the guy he passed really not entered?
He is destroying them.
Brit commentator is Tim Hutchings btw.
Derrick is a beast!! So old school. Runs XC every year. How much moeny would it take for us to crowdfund to force Rupp to run this baby. If LetsRun raised $100,000, do you think Rupp would run it?
So what do we think about Derrick at World Cross? Top 5? Can he medal?
It's a shame the live splits aren't working. When 1 runner gaps the field, you need live splits.
Who's in places 2-6? No way to know from watching the stream. Terrible coverage.
I think Derrick might be able to beat Rupp in XC. Remember Pre-Nats 2009 when he beat Chelanga (who everyone thought was invincible)?
I'd love to see what Rupp could do if he went all-in on XC.
Totally think he's worth top 5 given his fitness and domination (so far) over a tough field. Medal would fantastic and for sure an outside shot. Really like him, seems smart and very down to earth.

Ouch. True won't be going to worlds. A real shame.
Derrick, Curtis, Vail, Ritz, Smyth, Korolev. That's your top six.
The idea that Derrick would be in the same realm as Galen is laughable.
Tally up the individual NCAA titles.
