OP, why do you expect a doctorate degree to affect your personal taste and social standing? Most PhD candidates are social misfits- some are downright autistic- with extremely poor aesthetic sensibilities. I assume you fall into a similar bucket, given that you're boasting about yourself here on the world's most barbaric website. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm just as amused as the next guy by delusional loners. But, to think that your degree will somehow catapult you into a higher social class is totally misplaced.
