Wasihun has dropped. It's down to five. This should be a great last 5 miles.

I'm glad Haile is here

To be honest, I have been thinking the same thing since the gun went off.
Wake up guys. He comes from the track, he has always been a little more stocky and a little stronger than everyone else.
Why would anyone run or let alone travel to Dubai.
Desili just biding his time......
that woman from Bahrain is hammering them. holy sh*t

Well, 2 million of us happen to live here, so there's that.......
I love Haile so much. Such a positive guy.

Yeah, she looks strong. Totally alone for miles.
This is a remarkable performance from Tufa. She's slowed to around 2:19:00 pace (still a great time), but she had a gap on the pack after the first kilometer. It takes a lot of mental toughness to do what she is doing.

He is always a happy guy.
He is also happy that Kenny got dropped.
These two hate each other.
leading woman is on 2:19:10 pace at 31km.
as for men. At 35km. the leading men are on 2:05:13 pace. Gonna be hard to get the CR off that even if they slam it home. 10 seconds per mile, they need more than that.
Sage Canaday would be a minute behind that top female
Robi just looked back at the men's pack and smiled. He is grimacing but I think he's feeling good.
Bekele has dropped out
I took a taxi ride back from airport recently, guy sounded *exactly* like Haile. Same rising pitch, rolling Rs etc. Are you Ethiopian i asked? His eyes lit up, pride evident, "yes, how did you know?" I said i was a fan of Haile and he sounded a lot like him. It was hard to hear him talk due to road noise etc, but he told this long rambling story about Haile and his political aspirations. The gist of it is, no one wants to become president including Haile. The Prime Minister appoints the president, usually his enemy, so he can keep an eye on him. The previous president Meles Zenawi got about 1.5 million death threats a year, and *all* the presidents, according to the taxi driver, were poisoned. Oh sure, the news says they died of this and that, but is all lies, the Prime Minister has them poisoned when they get too popular and powerful, and then appoints another enemy. Very entertaining. Can any East African Poly Sci types confirm this?
Tufa looks great. Hope she can hold on. Also, boy-shorts FTW.
Kenny seems to be dropped. Injury.
