So you suggest even splits of 28.66 not something like 27.5--28.5--30 ?
I like your plan better than his. Go out faster and fade. It's how the 400 is run, it's how the 800 is run, so it makes sense to run the 600 this way too.
I'm trying to think how I'd run it. Based on some 400 and 600 splits I've had in 800 races, I'm guessing I'd be around 1:21 for 600. With that I'd aim for 26/27/28. You should do something like that, a gradual slowdown based on going out in the first 400 at 400 pr + 2.0 to 2.5 seconds.
Your about right, 57 is good pace, maybe you can benefit even more from 56.
i doubt you'd gain that 1 second over the last lap where you are already tired.
So yeah run it like a ''coward 400m race'', if you see what i mean.
BTW The IAAF Women's Indoor 600m Junior Record is 1:26.45 Ajee' Wilson (US) New York, New York 2/16/13
24.5, 30, 31.5. Blast off, chill/recover, KICK (more like don't run a 35)
Perfect, you will catch some faders. Even more so with a 57.5 first 400
Enjoy the race that way and try different tactics next time.
