I have been running indoor track for two years now and my times are consistently worse than both my outdoor and croos country times. For instance in my 3k in indoor I ran around a 12:30, in outdoor I ran an 11:15. I was wonering if this was normal and if there was anyway I could improve my times? I had a solid cc season this year and was running around a 20 minute 5k and then as soon as I got to indoor I was running a 12:30 3k once again and I don't understand why if I can run around a 6:25 min mile for about 3.2 miles and only a 6:46 min mile for a 3k. Any ideas as to why this happens?
