That group of actors (Franco, Hill, Rogan, Cerra), the point of their movies is that they're supposed to be crass and horribly acted. Or that's what I thought.

Curious what others thought of The Interview? I am no prude and not offended by F bombs but I could not get past the first 20 minutes of the movie and shut it off. It was just BAD
If you were offended by the movie you are probably old.
If you just thought that it sucked and was not worth the additional hour or so to finish the movie then you are not old - you just have a functional sense of taste.
Which is the most repulsive non -repulsive movie, and while we're at it, the most non-repulsive repulsive movie?
A bad version of Pineapple Express only with North Koreans. If you go to a Seth Rogen movie you know what you are getting.

This is a pretty good description of the movie in general. If you thought it was "bad", you were probably looking way too much into it. It's a skin deep movie made for crude language and butthole jokes and occasionally gets you to laugh.

I though it was hilarious. I can understand an old person like you not liking it, you probably would not have understand the various references to modern popular culture. Joseph Gordon levitt with the kittens was fvcking hilarious
I'm guessing you're 12
f u c k, f u c k, I am not offended by the appropriate use of the word f u c k. and use it on occasion i.e scraping my knuckle when working on the car etc. I would expect to hear it in the new movie American Sniper and it would fit. I just don't see anything entertaining about the word being used 50 times in one scene. Not neccessary. I guess I am getting old because looking back 20 years, it probablly would not have turned me off the same way.

People who are not offended by the word f u c k do not call it the "F bomb."

People who are not offended by the word fuck do not spell it "f u c k."

I know there's no accounting for taste and especially with humor everyone marches to his own drummer ... but The Interview is damn near perfect. The writing is as close to perfection as you're going to see. The premise is genius. The acting is appropriately broad and committed.
Freaking hysterical movie. Loved it. Belongs in the same class as Anchorman, Dodge Ball, and Tropical Thunder. It's that good.
Thank you, Seth
Maybe it was never the North Koreans. Maybe it was Hollywood all the time.

Kabam!
About 80% of everything coming out of Hollywood the past 30 years has been raw sewage. I haven't seen the movie but it sounds like typical Hollywood nihilism. National Geographic did an excellent documentary a few years back on North Korea but of course the average American idiot's world view will be shaped by this trash.
I was able to answer that question without the movie critique preceding it. Yes.
I am 43. The spouse is 42. We had a great time watching this movie. It was complete stupid fun. Streamed via YT for a fair price. Kids were watching Lord of the Rings in the other room (home server). Spouse and I had some drinks during the movie. Basically it was fun. If you were looking for more intellectual or mature stuff than Sony's marketing is not to be blamed. Can't help you on that one. Pretty much knew exactly what to expect.

Alright Mr. Pseudo-Intellectual, you can step off your high horse now. You're not as of a unique, special snowflake that you want to be.
Any movie that has Seth Rogan in one of the leading roles is pretty much guaranteed to suck from my experience. Knocked Up is the exception. I haven't seen Panda Express.
