Oh, you see, because it was about running, I assumed he meant you should wear whatever shoes you are comfortable running in. But, I see that you think he meant go ahead and run in whatever shoe you find comfortable for whatever occasion. Yeah, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have meant what you thought because that would be nonsensical.
Don't feel bad, intelligence isn't your thing, there is nothing wrong with that - I'm sure you're good at other stuff, maybe making french fries? Just stick to your strengths and you'll be fine. And if you want to go run in crocs, you should do that. But don't wear them to work because if you spill that hot oil it would burn your feet.
