You do realize background checks are already in place, correct?

Every time a new gun is bought, the buyer fills out a 4473 NICS check which the FBI has to approve and give a 'PROCEED' prior to purpose.

What the NRA and 'far right' oppose are new gun laws which will do nothing to stop the violence problem, i,e, banning 'features like pistol grips and barrel shrouds, public registrations of gun owners (like sex offenders), and sin taxes on guns and ammunition.

Oh, and the things the NRA opposes are just those that the United States Supreme Court were already ruled Unconstitional in District of Columbia vs Heller, 2008.

It is the same reality that Americans are consuming every gun made for commercial sale year in and year out and continuing the demand year in and year out!

If you really want an accurate view go to the SHOT Show in Vegas were vendors are selling billions in guns to distributors whom pre sell most of the product before they have the chance to even take possession.

America is the largest supplier of arms in the world both internationally and domestically.
