Yes, it was considered. After my months of researching and back & forths... It came down to the 1750 and the Sole F80. At the time, the 1750 was having reliability and service issues with the droid touchpad. When the touchscreen went down, the whole machine went down. And there were problems getting them repaired. That was two years ago. I don't know if the touchscreen issues have been corrected. But because of that, I went with the F80 and have no regrets.

What is the most durable and most quiet treadmill for under $2500?

I don't need a lot of bells and whistles about courses on google maps and such.

I am new to looking but why wouldn't I get an incline machine instead of a treadmill if I do a lot of hilly trail runs? What is the disadvantages of the incline machines?

If your budget is only 1500, you're much better off going with a gym membership. My local rec. center only charges me $120/year and they have 15 state of the art treadmills. I priced them out on the net and they retail for about $20,000 each. Plus there is a ton of other gym equipment and machines. Really, its a no brainer (at least in my case).

So I went to Dick's to check out the F80 and a fitness equipment store to check out the higher end treadmills. And I may be roughly doubling my initial budget haha. I think the F80 would probably get the job done, but if I'm really going to make an investment in one of these, the higher end stuff is hard to beat. The Landice is quite a machine. Smooth, changing pace with ease and doesn't break a sweat at 12mph. They were willing to sell me the L7 with the basic panel for $3100, which seems like a pretty good deal. I am still unsettled about spending that much on a treadmill that I will basically only use for 5 months of the year, but that thing should last me a long time. Also considering the Precor 9.31, which they had for around $2500. Going to do some more research and check them out again but I'm definitely now leaning away from the folding ones.
