I'm trying to increase mileage to reach a few of my running goals for 5k, 10k and Half. Next week I'll be hitting 40mpw for the first time.
Current PB's are 18:10 5k, 39:10 10k (1 year ago, nearer 38:xx now) and 1:28:xx
This is how I plan to break down my 40mpw, please critique.
Monday: 4m easy (7:50)
Tuesday: 6m (4-5 miles of 800-1600m reps plus warm-up etc
Wednesday: 0m (60mins Turbo trainer)
Thursday: 8m Easy (7:35)
Friday: 8m w/ 4m at Tempo (6:15-6:20)
Saturday: 0m (120mins Trbo Trainer z2)
Sunday: 14m Long Run (7:15-7:25)
Five days of running instead of six or seven seems to keep me injury free.
