I am simply done.
Did average in college, sub 4:20 mile, around 8;45 3k, it's all i can do. Maybe 4:10 if i devote my life to it.
haven't ran in 12 months, not a step. It's just ...I can't do it any more.

Have a family and start again when they go to college.

Ok...
I plan to do the exact same. Imagine... not waking up early to pound the life out of your knees and joints. Imagine relaxing and not worrying about racing for once. Or simply the expense of buying shoes and clothes to suit running. I congratulate you and only wish to do the same!
If you hate it so much, why NOT quit now?
No one is forcing you to run. Or are they?
Your post makes no sense.
I also find only non-runners bring up talk about knees and joints.
Running done right doesn't stress your knees. Proper form puts the stress on your muscles.
Well thanks for sharing. Now you can really begin to enjoy the easy life.

Imagine...inactivity has been proven to degrade your joints and ruin your health. Use it or lose it, baby.
Now you can focus your efforts on building an impressive beergut.

Haven't RAN in 12 months?
So after 12 months of not running you woke up this morning and thought you might share the breaking news with Letsrun.
Why thank you. That was kind.

He is looking for us to cajole him back and tell him how great he is. Classic ploy. We won't fall for it moron. Enjoy getting fat.
Obviously you don't run collegiate D1 track and cross country...and if you do you don't train hard enough
