Waverly Neer and Brianna Nerud just popped up on Oregon's cross country roster. Ducks will be much tougher this year then I previously thought.

Any idea why Neer transferred?
Yea, why did Neer transfer so far?
Why do you think? Neer was probably thinking about xf prior to CU coaching change. That it happened, probably clinched it.
Nerud had underperformed over the country for SU. Not bad on the track but we'll see what happens under a diff' staff?

She is going to trade an ivy league degree for a duck degree? She should have graduated from Columbia and used her fifth year for Oregon like other Ivy grads have done.

I completely agree. I imagine that she was taking the long view on her non-running career when she chose Columbia over other opportunities. I understand that it's a sacrifice but after 3 years she should finish it off and then focus on running for a few years.
Interesting that one of the CU coaches is an Oregon Grad.

Maybe the UO credits will be accepted at CU (yes!) and she'll get the degree there (with maybe a bit of additional work).
The point is I think she'll end up with a Columbia BA regardless of the xfer.
Any other (Gregorek,Korolev/Stan, Kelly/UVa)) Ivy leagueflippers to report?
I heard Gregorek and Geohegan to Oregon
