alan, get back to your training schedule
Alan ran a 5k yesterday in 13:10 in trainers, all uphill. This was at the end of a 10k tempo run.
He's about the only chance this country has at glory in any distance. Yet the letsrun crowd seems to be spunking all overthemselves at imports and Bob Kennedy.
he has been training with Jason Rexing....in trainers.

Alan has been doing his normal training routine.
6 A.M. - health shake for breakfast
6:05 A.M. - 5:05 P.M. Bangin' young co-eds three or four at a time
5:06 - proceed to run ten miles at 4:20 pace
5:49 - repeat morning routine until exhaustion

White House interns, right?
Alan Webb as the new Jason Rexing that could do it.
I heard that he hopped in the Chicago marathon and paced Rutto from 10-25 and then dropped out. I know they wanted to keep it under wraps so shhh. Thats just what I heard.
I agree
hes actually been running and occassionally working out with the georgetown guys. thanks
I heard that Alan Webb was running a city 5K, but halfway through was sidetracked and not only saved children from a burning orphanage, but also ran 13:22, taking second to Josh McDougal.
I heard that one day recently when Webb and Jase Rexing were doing their 5km Tempo, at around 13.55 pace in trainors, Jasons trainors came undone at one point, and was about to pull out but Webb bent down and retied them on the fly!
Hey I heard about that aswell, the uphill gradient meant Alan did not have to bend down as far.
I have my doubts about some of these happenings. However I did hear from a relaible source close to Alan himself, that one day on a steady training run Alan and his group came to a river crossing that was running unusualy high due to recent rain, the rest of the group thought it looked to dangerous and pleaded with Alan to turn back, he refused and laid down a challenge that he would go accross first if the rest followed. The rest of the group after consultation agreed, so Alan struck off at a good tempo amazingly he never sunk lower than soul deep on his trainors into the water. The others could not beleive they had thought it was so deep and dangerous, and were embarrassed, imediately they followed Webb only to plummet neck deep in the frigid water and be swept away down stream in the periless current. Alan by now on the otherside saw this and realised his buddies were in trouble, he raised his arms above his head in an all powerful pose at this exact moment the river parted imediately in front of him creating a narrow dry channel through the raging torrent, which the rest of the group were able to walk away from their certain death through.
I read an article that said Webb was in Chicago visiting family over the weekend and was out on a light run when he caught up with another runner going a little slower, being the polite and well mannered man that he is Webb decided to drop his own pace a little and run with the stranger. Alan made a few attempts to get conversation with the mystery runner going however he always seemed to out of breath. 'Perhaps I am pushing him to hard, Webb thought to himself, I should keep on and leave him to it'. Before jogging off into the distance Webb thought it polite to enquire the gentlemans name. Although hard to catch with the traffics noise and the mans fatigue as he was running off Webb just managed to catch the runners name...... Evans Rutto.
I heard another story...it's called chill out about Webb and start focusing on your own training. Give the man a break!
The only chicks Alan has been banging lately have been ones that love mis-shapen heads.
Webb actually paced rutto from 10-25 as a training run for his NYC marathon debut. I say webb in 1:55.01 the first man to go sub two hours. Kennedy in a close second in 1:55.03. Poor Kennedy always gives a supreme performance only to be outdone once again.
He keeps Lance Armstrong company and jogs along with him as he does his cycling training.
