Is this really actually true? Is she even healthy?!
I don't believe for a minute she had a fractured femur. I don't want to compromise her privacy but their were other issues at Oregon that prevented her from running and they were not injury-related. The Oregon coaching staff is notoriously tight-lipped and it hasn't formally been announced that she won't return. It may never be announced. Her Twitter feed seems to indicate she left the Eugene area a year ago. My information comes from a very reliable source within the program. No one here wanted to see her leave and the staff was willing to wait as her issues were resolved. Apparently they never were. I wish her the best of luck at WI.

I am guessing her "issues" are not uncommon for runner girls. She did become noticeably thinner after NXN/Footlocker her senior year. She may not have had a fractured femur at Oregon but may have had something like osteoporosis which, again, is not uncommon for people with an eating disorder.
