I used to run in HS, but after a prolonged injury and loss of intensity/interest (due to not being on my college team) it somewhat faded out of the mainstream for me. I would like to get back into running and maybe one day real training, but it seems that all I know about how my body acted and trained from a few years back is completely immaterial. The most different aspect of my running (I have started with about 3 weeks of 30, 35, 40 minute shuffles around town) is the way I plant my feet. My injury was to the insides of both feet, so now when I plant my foot I start on the way outside of the shoe and straighten out by the ball of my foot. The only shoe I ever wore before was the Pegasus, and it does not seem to be what I need anymore. I've looked at runner’s world and roadrunner sports, and they are not a great help. There is no running store in town or in the nearby vicinity, so I am left with purchasing shoes online. I can purchase two, three pairs, test them out in my living room and return the two I do not feel right in. I guess I am in need of a very stable cushioned shoe? I have a very small frame, low body weight with high arches-- Any advice?
