I was sidelined for several months due to an medical issue (~17 weeks), and I'm finally getting back into the swing of things. I have run up to 55 mpw in the past, but am obviously very detrained at present. This is my ideal summer schedule. Would this be too much, too soon?
Week 1: 24 mpw (done)
2: 30 mpw
3. 35 mpw
4. 32 mpw
5. 39 mpw
6. 43 mpw
7. 47 mpw
8.50 mpw
I'm particularly interested in whether I should have a few more weeks near the beginning at lower mileage.
Also, any experiences others have had at returning from long layoffs would be much appreciated. Thanks!
