I am an elite female athletes and I have a pill specially formulate for me by an endocrinologist which is just estrogen to maintain my bone health as I don't get periods ordinarily. My endocrinologist has said this is due to miles and low body fat.

The poster who said that body fat isn't what determines the absence of period, it is the amount of food you consume, that is wrong. Low body fat % in female sends a message to the pituitary gland to signal that the body is in starvation and is not capable of childbirth. Therefore, the pituitary gland shuts down to stop the production of female hormones.

I'm curious, do you feel that not having a period results in you having more energy, less energy, or no difference? So many people make it out like it's something to be greatly feared and it signals a bleak horizon, which seems a bit ridiculous to me.

It's interesting that you can take estrogen. Do you need a TUE for that? If it helps keep your bones stronger, that is obviously performance enhancing. Men with low testosterone can pretty much never get a TUE for testosterone, and so they risk osteoporosis. It sounds like that's not the case with women, yeah?

Sounds idiotic to me considering the number of gynecologic cancers fueled by estrogen.

don't lose weight in general, lose fat. you need a strong, healthy body, unencumbered by adipose tissue. eat an healthy diet; cut out empty calories. good, hard training will get you lean as you need to be in a year or two. be patient.
