if she was a pacer for the 5:30 group that is a horrible pacing effort. I've probably paced 15 marathons and the instructions I have always been given is that you want to be no more than 1 to 2 minutes ahead at the halfway point.
Here is her actual times versus projected split times for a 5:30 marathon (12:35/mile)
5 km: 38:00 (Projected 39:06) - Over 1 minute ahead already
10 km: 1:15:54 (Projected 1:18:11) - Over 2 minutes ahead
10 mile: 2:02:19 - ( Projected 2:05:50) - 2::30 ahead
half: 2:41:13 - (Projected 2:44:58) - Almost 4 minutes ahead
This would put her full pace at 5:22:26!!!
18.5 mi: 3:53:16 - (Projected 3:54:30) - Slowing down - Only 1:30 ahead
Finish: 5:30:45 - (Projected 5:30) - Ran over 8 minutes slower the 2nd half of the race. This is horrible job of pacing by someone who, judging by the number of marathons she's run,, should know (and do) a lot better.
