So I've recently been bumping up my mileage. A little bit of background - I was averaging close to 60 over the winter and spring with a high of 70. After a spring marathon, my mileage was around 55 for six weeks.
The last couple weeks I've done 70, 80, 63 and now I'm trying to hit 85 this week. I haven't cut workouts either - typically 4-5 miles of intervals, 1 4-6 mile tempo, and 1 long run.
I've been trying to double a few times a week and when I roll out of bed for these AM runs, my legs feel like lead at the start. It takes 1 or 2 miles before I can even think about running my easy pace. As a side note, I haven't seen a slow down in my workouts.
Is this morning run feeling typical during a buildup like this?
