"Wetmore has had more post-collegiate successes per capita than Arkansas or Stanford and he has done it with Americans only unlike the foreign-fueled Razorbacks, and not cheating the system by giving out all sorts of free ride grants to Stanford kids."
Holy cow!!! This has got to be the world's longest run-on sentence! Dude, I hope you're not a CU graduate, because we definetly won't claim you!
the fact is
if he wasnt one of the best coaches in America, his name wouldnt be on the title of a letsrun thread
he had some problems this year and in the past but the reason u all know who he is is because of the success hes had
simple as that
The points in the long sentence seem pretty clear and correct to me. You're "definetly" not a CU grad, you're the guy who started this thread.
actually, i am a cu grad! ha! graduated right before gouch won nc's in cross. to be honest, a bitter one at that (as you can tell). in all seriousness, i just feel so bad about what has happened to goucher and now ritz (as i'm sure you do too). i thought when he popped that 27.38 that it was on for sure. looks like i was wrong. anyway, i love suckering you wetmore lovers into these huge debates. you get soooo riled up. just usually something to do waiting for these blasted overseas conference calls to start!
I'm calling BS on this guy since that's when I graduated.

when November rolls around the fact that Jorge Torres, Dathan Ritzenhein, Adam Goucher, Kara Goucher, and Steve Slattery had a terrible Olympic trials performances still won't change
and the fact that you never have or never will do anything will not change either.
"dathan's "bone density problem" that you mentioned might just be a stupid training problem"
MIGHT just be a training problem, so you are arguing over what MIGHT be a problem? wish I had nothing better to do with my time.
Who are you Matt Napier or Clint Wells? Or just a 27:30/8K nobody?

wow, you are one of those great track fans who due to one bad year completely trash a program
yes, Ritz got hurt for the olympics, he also ran 27:38...how did he get hurt, by training to run 27:38
at least Wetmore can get his athletes to that level, thats more than can be said for most other prgrams in the US
Lets completely forget about last year when CU athletes and Alums dominated the American distance scene last year
Goucher-2nd in the 5000
Jorge-3rd in the 5000 and finals at worlds
Slat-1st in the 3000 SC
Culp-1st in the 10000
so yes they had a bad year, but your a f***ing idiot if ur willing to completely abandon a program with results like that
and overall, what the hell was the point of this thread, there were no results recently, y did u randomly bring up a tired subject just to trash one of the best coaches in the country
dumbass
wetmore was not able to yell at his players because they were all f***ed up in the bones. reality is that you have get to the next level to have a chance to yell at your charges, which wetmore won't. meb & deena have, check in with their coaches ok.
oh, all i hear are you usual excuses. when will you face the music, lad? as for my grasp of the english language, i'm not sure exactly what you meant by that, but f*** off nonetheless. i uderstood completely your point on blondeau. what does a 13.51 get you? 751st on the all time list? give me a break. it's adam and eve that i don't tell you my pb. internet now allows you to pinpoint exactly who i am. it would be embarassing to have my old mates get wind of my rants on a silly message board. however, i can assure you that my best is significantly under 14 minutes- let that point rest (didn't i tell you that you would have your knickers in a bunch over that one?). what we're realy here to talk about is how poor a coach wetmore is. he really is. read the above three posts. really some good insight in there. as aforementioned, culpepper, slattery, and now ritzenhein and goucher have realized that wetmore's training is trash. best fo luck in your future enlightenment of this fact as well. cheers.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
